I loved making this show happen. It was a success on so many levels - creatively, emotionally, financially - and I won awards too! Within this show, I created artwork which went in a completely new direction for me. THIS IS WHERE I LIVE has changed my artistic direction for good.

I was thrilled at the 2009 Fringe Festival Awards. I won two awards, BEST VISUAL ART + MOST ORIGINAL CONCEPT. I was also nominated for the Best Marketing Award, Best Production Design Award, the Best Solo Show Award, and the BEST IN FRINGE SUPREME AWARD. No other production had so many nominations.

We made love, and conceived our son in this house - in an act of joy and tenderness. Years later, I sat on the floor in the small space between the bed and the wall, and experienced some of the worst grief of my life. This exhibition of photographic portraits, visual poems, and material possessions - the things I have made and surrounded myself with over the last ten years - is the most beautiful goodbye I could make to my marriage, to Kerry as my partner, and to the person I have been. And it's more than that. It 's about letting go of an older, deeper grief. THIS IS WHERE I LIVE combines every object of relevance or meaning for me from the last decade of my life in a very personal self-portrait. To sell them is an act of release, a way to say goodbye to the person I have been, to the life I have lived here. And it makes room for the person I will become.
