NOTES TO THIS ARTWORK

LIKE THE YING AND YANG OF IT ALL

Got an email from N this morning, and she articulated something so beautifully about why she bought this particular artwork that I thought I'd share it. ⁠ "This piece really spoke to me - not only about the love that I have for my whānau 24/7 but equally the unrelenting nature of parenting. It's like the ying and the yang of it all."⁠. That's so bang on. About parenting. About life in bloody general. ⁠ It's what I try for in my work: to walk tightropes, to show the tightropes. To talk about ying-yang line we all walk between the the beauty AND the difficulty inherent in every single life. Hell, in every single day. ⁠ Light and dark. ⁠ Storms and sunshine.⁠Tears and delight in equal measure to the other when looked at from a distance, but felt so fiercely in the moment that it seems like only tears, or only delight.⁠ That's life, eh. 24/7 365. ⁠⁠

ARCHIVE PRINT SALE

This unprecedented 50%-off Sale of a selection of beautiful and precious limited edition prints that I have stored in my lock-up is necessitated by my transition to the very exciting Chapter Three of my art practice.  I’m celebrating my entry into Chapter Three by letting go of artwork which has gone before, and your decision to purchase an artwork during this Archive Print Sale supports me as an artist while I step into the exciting and vulnerable space of making a whole different kind of new work.  Thank you!

Terms and Conditions:

Prints only: This sale is for prints only.  It is 50% off the 2025 print price, on a selection of prints stored in my lock-up.  

Sales end 31st October, 5pm

Sale ends:  31st October, 5pm, or until stocks last.  There are only a few of each print in the sale [the ones already printed and stored in my lock-up]. Once thes are sold, further prints will be at the normal 2025 price.

Print Condition:  Some prints may be slightly scuffed at the edges of the paper, due to being stored for a while.  These scuffs can be cut off by the framer, and in no way affects the artwork itself.  Prints will be signed, titled, overpainted, as usual.

ETA:  Prints will be couriered in order of purchase, from 31st October.  If you require the print earlier than that, please let me know ASAP and I can try to do that.  Note that some prints need to be overpainted by hand, as I usually wait until a print has been purchased before completing it.  This takes time, and there’s only one of me, so patience may be required :-) .

Framing:  All prints in the Sale are sold unframed. If you’re interested in framing, email me I can let you know pricing and ETA.  Please note framing will be at current 2025 price, plus Shipping.

Layby:  Layby is not available for the Sale
