On an afternoon in February, I presented

this life unfolding

a large exhibition of paintings, photographs, word-work and portraits,

shown within the rooms of a much-loved and glorious family home.

[2-5pm, Saturday 22 February, Newtown, Wellington]

This image, of the fox-doorstop, illustrates the feeling in this house exactly.

This home is full of beauty and love, with C, the child who lives here, being allowed to have a childhood

full of magic and mystery and such lovely loving.

Thank you so much to Faye, Cam and the delightful C,

for allowing me to show this work in your beautiful home.

The creation of the interiors of this glorious home

was a collaboration between the owners of the home, Faye & Cam,

and the incredibly talented Charlotte Minty.

I love you my baby, 2016 [Inscription and overdrawing made especially for the owners of this artwork, Faye & Cam]

The hope of my body has always been this:

You and I, lying in the light

of a gentle room

learning the language

of our kisses.

You feel like home.
