Hahnemühle photorag, acrylic paint, pencil, silver
70×140 cm
Numbered, signed, dated
Edition of 3, plus 1 artist's proof
Print $ 3960
Framed print, $5776
Notes to work":
The sky is blue is gentle meditation on hope, on looking the the breath and the sky for it. When I was a child I would lie on the ground, watch the clouds passing, notice how the blue of the sky remained up there, no matter the weather. This work needs it’s scale - the intention is to notice the details. Once framed, this artwork will sing.
Notes to arthouse hang:
The overdrawing on this work hasn’t been completed. It will have subtle blue, silver and white acrylic applied, to make the artwork really sing. Look carefully and see the jagged digital edges of some of the cloudforms, rough and sharp like life is sometimes.
Notes to framing: The sky is blue will be framed in a white frame— conservation-mounted, museum-grade AR70 glass.
Lay-by available: Email me to discuss terms.
ETA: Framed — 5–6 weeks.
